Mini-Game: Garden Nightwatch
A free playable mini-game: survive the aphid swarm, draft your spells three-at-a-choice like a real roguelike.

What this is
A playable fan mini-game: orbit familiars auto-attack while you position, gather moonlight dew, and draft 1-of-3 upgrades on every level — the roguelike draft compressed into a 90-second night watch. Score = kills x10 + seconds x5.
Three laws of the watch
Positioning is the only input
Familiars aim themselves. WASD/arrows or hold-drag to move. Enemies converge from all sides — always leave yourself an exit.
The 1-of-3 draft
Fill the dew gauge, pick a card (click or 1/2/3). Early: familiar count. Mid: moonbeam. Move speed is always valuable — same logic as the real builds.
Elite cadence
One elite beetle every 30s (tanky, drops 5 dew). A bite costs a heart, 1.1s of mercy. Three hearts, then the night closes in.
Night-watch board (launch-day snapshot · for fun)
| Watcher | Score | Note |
|---|---|---|
| @mothkeeper | 1,412 pts | Found Mirror Sil by day, topped the watch by night |
| @bramble_walker | 1,208 pts | Only took speed and orbit — "I was strolling, not fighting" |
| @sil_herself | 977 pts | Five familiars lighting the whole garden, died greeding one dew |
Controls
Desktop: WASD/arrows to move, 1/2/3 or click to draft. Mobile: hold and drag. Free to play.
Mechanic origin: the draft philosophy on Builds and the familiars from the Witch Codex — the guide plays the game; the game plays the guide.
"Ninety seconds into my watch I understood: the familiars aren't weapons. They're the Garden remembering you."
