Beginner Guide
The 1.0 changelog, your first five hours in order, and the four traps every keeper walks into.
EA → 1.0 changelog (read first)
Bramble lash attack speed
−18% (Sil's default). The EA "lash spam" era is over — the patch note literally says "the whip was doing the playing for you."
Mirror Sil added
A hidden sixth witch and a hidden boss. Unlock path on the Witches page; the community found it in under nine hours.
Moonlight economy rebalanced
Dew drops now persist between rooms — you no longer lose everything on a bad floor.
Greenhouse softlock fixed (1.0.1)
The day-one hotfix: the firefly lantern puzzle could softlock if you lit them in reverse order.
Boss HP scaling in co-op
Two-player co-op bosses gain +40% HP instead of the EA's flat double — duos are viable again.
"Don't trust EA guides. 1.0 didn't change numbers — it changed how the game wants to be played."

Your first five hours, in order
Hour 1 · Rose Forecourt
Learn the lash's max range — it is longer than the animation suggests. The forecourt's aphid waves teach you to fight while moving backward; never get cornered by the hedge walls.
Hour 2 · First death, on purpose
Die once early. Dying teaches the dew-drop economy (you keep 30% as "pressed dew") and opens the Greenhouse shortcut gate. This is not a failure state; it is the tutorial continuing.
Hour 3 · Unlock Poppy
Clear the Forecourt boss (Bramble Hound) to recruit Poppy. Her sunflower burst is the game's best panic button — even if you main Sil, Poppy is your co-op MVP.
Hours 4-5 · Firefly Greenhouse
The lantern order puzzle: light them by humming pitch, lowest to highest. The room hums when you stand still — listen. Bring 400+ dew for the Greenhouse shop's Bramble Ring.

Four new-keeper traps
✗ Hoarding dew for "the perfect shop"
Dew scales in value the sooner you spend it — early relics compound. Spend every floor.
✗ Face-tanking with the lash
The lash rewards max-range pokes, not trades. If you are getting hit, you are standing one step too close.
✗ Ignoring the moon phase
Moongrass Slope changes layout with the phase shown top-right. New moon = stealth paths; full moon = elite spawns but double dew.
✗ Skipping the humming rooms
Rooms that hum hide memory petals (lore + permanent stats). Stand still two seconds in every new room.
Launch-day questions
Yes. Your EA knowledge doesn't — lash speed, dew economy and co-op scaling all changed; treat the first five hours as a new game.
